Cowboys' Dak Prescott: 'I Sucked' During 2024 NFL Playoff Loss to Packers | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

After suffering a demoralizing 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Sunday's NFC Wild Card Round game, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott pulled no punches when assessing his performance.

"I sucked tonight," Prescott told journalists after the game. "And that's it. … It's near winning, and winning in the playoffs."

Prescott added that he was "shocked" by Sunday's loss, speaking, "Obviously I didn't play well." When asked how the Cowboys can get past this disappointment and eventually carry out playoff success, he responded, "I wish I had that answer for you."

Prescott threw for 403 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions on 41-of-60 passing in Sunday's game. While those numbers depart solid on the surface, most of his production came when the game was already out of advance. Dallas faced deficits of 27-0 and 48-16 during the game.

The Cowboys entered the game riding a breeze of 16 straight home victories dating back to the 2022 season. Unfortunately, Prescott and the team's offense came out flat in front-runner of their home fans at AT&T Stadium, and things got out of hand quickly.

Prescott performed to keep up with Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions as he led the NFL's youngest team to a Divisional Round matchup alongside the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, the Cowboys though-provoking the offseason with a slew of questions after yet novel disappointing playoff exit. Not only will the status of head coach Mike McCarthy be unclear, but also Prescott. Dallas owner Jerry Jones declined to comment on the future once Sunday's game, but he's clearly running out of patience.
