Packers list RBs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon with seven questionable for Sunday

GREEN BAY – The Packers have behind running backs Aaron Jones (knee) and AJ Dillon (thumb) with seven questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Green Bay's novel five questionable players are linebacker Quay Walker (shoulder), security Darnell Savage (shoulder), cornerbacks Jaire Alexander (shoulder) and Eric Stokes (hamstring), and receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle).

Receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is doubtful when not practicing this week. Of Green Bay's seven questionable players, Savage is the only individual who didn't practice this week.

Speaking with journalists Thursday, Jones was optimistic about his chances of playing in contradiction of the Buccaneers. The former Pro Bowler has missed six games this year due to hamstring and knee injuries.

Dillon returned to practice on Friday with a modified cast over his brilliant hand from the thumb injury he sustained on the previous offensive possession of Monday night's game against the New York Giants. The fourth-year running back has yet to miss an NFL game due to injury.

"We're kind of operational through it right now," said Head Coach Matt LaFleur of Dillon's availability. "They had it padded up pretty good. We'll just see where we're at with that."

Depending on the availability of Jones and Dillon, Green Bay could turn to Patrick Taylor and Kenyan Drake. Taylor had six touches for 52 yards against New York.

Alexander has practiced in a diminutive capacity for the past month but not played in a game proper injuring the shoulder during Green Bay's 20-3 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Walker sat out in contradiction of the Giants but returned to practice Thursday.

Stokes has practiced in full the past two weeks but leftovers on injured reserve with a designation to return. The third-year cornerback would need to be activated to the 53-man roster in tidy to play Sunday.

Green Bay didn't issue a game spot for the following players who are all expected to be available: safeguarding Elgton Jenkins (shoulder), linebacker Kingsley Enagbare (tore), cornerback Keisean Nixon (quadricep), safety Jonathan Owens (knee), receiver Jayden Reed (ankle), and protecting tackle T.J. Slaton (quadricep).

The Buccaneers have ruled out cornerback Carlton Davis (groin) and protecting lineman William Gholston (knee/ankle), and listed defensive tackle Vita Vea (toe) and security Ryan Neal (back) as doubtful.

Tampa Bay listed four players questionable: receiver Chris Godwin (knee), long snapper Zach Triner (elbow), cornerback Jamel Dean (ankle/foot) and linebacker Devin White (foot).

"He's a monster," LaFleur said of Vea. "There's not too many guys who are his size that are that athletic. He's a tough guy to move in the run game and in the pass game he has some improbable quickness and power."
